Brand New Day.

It's a brand new day here at 3am Revelations! You may have noticed we moved out of the blogspot basement and into an actual domain, and a fancy squarespace layout. (New logo coming soon... hopefully.)

And more excitingly, I will be joined by Christine McAvoy (formerly of Vancouver is Awesome) and Jessica Brodeur (formerly of Vancouver Music Review).

To go along with the usual show recaps and podcasts, there will be fancy new features. Playlists; Songs Of The Day, or Week, or Whenever We Feel; photo galleries; and more? Probably!

PNE Releases It's Summer Music Lineup

The PNE just announced the lineup for it's FREE (with admission) summer shows, which cover pretty much every genre and has music for every generation.

The main Amphitheatre will have shows from The Beach Boys, Sloan, The New Pornographers, Boyz II Men, Loverboy and many more.

The Mosaic Music Series is also returning, and features more local acts, like The Zolas, and The Tourist Company on August 22nd, Old Man Canyon, and Mounties on August 28th, The Boom Booms, Bif Naked, Good For Grapes and more. See the lineup by CLICKING HERE.

Polaris Prize Panels Announced

The Polaris Music Prize, which is heading into it's 10th year, is about to reveal it's 2015 long list on June 16th. Before that all goes down (in Halifax) they're doing a series of panels with jury members right across the country, starting right here in Vancouver.

It just so happens I (Christine) will be on the panel, along with Gregory Adams (Georgia Straight), Trevor Risk (Ion Magazine) and Andrea Warner (CBC Music, Exclaim!), and Steve Jordan (founder and Executive Director of the Polaris Music Prize) will be the moderator.

The event is running in conjunction with Music BC's "Schmusic" party, with the panel happening first, and then networking, music, prizes and more.
