Why? A free Louise Burns show to celebrate her new album, located just down the block from my house? Yes please!

Where? The Orpheum
When? Tuesday February 7th
Why? That's a hell of a lineup. It's been quite a long time since I've seen either of these bands (esp. outside of festivals), so both together? Yes please. Look out, roof of the Orpheum!

Why? It's the first annual Foxmas, with JP Maurice, Sex With Strangers, Kaylee Johnston, Twin River, and a bunch more turning the Fox Cabaret into a winter wonderland.

Who? Half Moon Run, with Plants & Animals
Where? Orpheum Theatre
When? Friday December 16th aka Tonight!
Why? It seems that Half Moon Run always perform in Vancouver in December when I'm already gone for the holidays, so please go see them in the beautiful Orpheum for me!

Who? Christmas Belles (Ashleigh Somerville, Mandy Rushton and Karin Plato)
Where? Cottage Bistro
When? December 23rd
Why? Lovely ladies with originals, classic favourites, and a night of jazz that will be the best gift you can give yourself.

Why? Going a bit out of the box on this, as Trevor is (obviously) comedy and not music, but I am super excited to see The Daily Show host live for JFL Northwest.

Where? The Railway Club
When? Tuesday February 23
Why? It's Elliott Brood at the Railway Club! I don't think I need to sell this one to you!

Who? Phantom of the Opera
Where? The Orpheum

Why? The masterful 1925 silent film brought to life with Downing's live score sung by the Vancouver Bach Choir - this is sure to be a thrilling, unforgettable night out.
