We usually would be bringing you some of our picks for concerts to attend in Vancouver this upcoming weekend/week - but since we’re all social distancing (YOU GET IN THAT APARTMENT!), we figured we’d bring you a list of virtual concerts instead.

This list is going to be updated every time we find a new one we thing fits our style, feel free to leave a comment or message us if you know of one that isn’t listed!

Why? Former Hey Rosetta! frontman takes to Side Door to perform not one, but two shows in celebration of his upcoming EP. Both are also presented by the Winnipeg Folk Festival, and $1 from every ticket will go to Portage

Who? Jim Bryson's "Phriday Phog"

Why? Jim’s upgraded from Instagram Live to Zoom (thankfully) for a show brought to us by the phine pholks at the Phog Lounge.

Why? Adam’s been doing what he’s calling a “Cross Country Chin Up” on a weekly basis! He has raised money for various Nova Scotia charities too - so don’t miss it!

Why? We’re taking our shameless plug to the virtual world again, and Christine and Kirk will be running a version of our monthly Simpsons trivia online! Woo Hoo!

MONDAY JUNE 1

Who? Haley Blais with guest Quarterback

Why? Haley Blais celebrates the release of her singles "Too Good" and "On a Weekend" (live from her home) with a special guest performance from Quarterback (live from his home) and a Q&A!

Why? Last week it was Jill, this week Matthew Barber jumps on Zoom to perform his 2008 album Ghost Notes in its entirety and tell stories about the songs

Why? Adaline may not be able to celebrate the release of her brand new EP in person, so the next best thing is a virtual release party this Saturday afternoon.

Why? Said the Whale will be ruining through their entire debut album(s) Howe Sounds/Taking Abalonia. They’ll be playing stripped down versions of the songs (and thanks to BC’s regulations relaxing, they may even be able to be in the same room!)
