Why? The Arts on the Fly festival was supposed to take place in Horsefly this weekend, but due to BC being on fire, they had to cancel. So help them out at a star-studded benefit show featuring Sarah Jane Scouten, Jasper Sloan Yip, Lydia Hol, Wooden                                                                                     Horsemen, Kitty & The Rooster, and more!

Why? Presented by Lighthouse Brewing (don't worry, there will be beer!), this musical showcase brings together the Ruffled Feathers, Wayward Hearts, Staggers and Jaggs, and Rocky Mountain Revival for an unforgettable set of lively songs.

Artist of the Week: Matthew & Jill Barber

This week's Artist of the Week is a double-bill, some of Canada's sweethearts from the same incredibly talented gene-pool: siblings Matthew & Jill Barber.

Hopefully some new recorded music from these two is coming down the pipes, as only a few old live YouTube videos are kicking around, even thought they play together now and again around Canada. Matthew Barber's folk music is packaged up nicely in Big Romance, his latest (of 7) album that came out a year ago and broke into CBC's R2 Top 20 with the built-up ballad "Lose your Love." Jill makes singing old-timey country, jazz, French love ditties and everything in beween look effortless, and together they are a mezmerising duo. You won't want to miss them at this year's Vancouver Folk Music Festival! See them perform at:
