Where? Jericho Beach Park
When? July 19 through 21 (right now!)
Why? It’s the 42nd annual folk fest this weekend! See dozens of bands from all around the world, including Canadian faves, Sam Roberts, Basia Bulat, Corb Lund, and oh so many more.

Who? The Matinee at Truck Stop Concert Series
Where? Red Truck Brewing
When? Saturday July 20th
Why? It’s country night at the Red Truck Truck Stop Concert Series and it’s been too long since I’ve seen a proper set by The Matinee. I’ll be running from them over to Sam Roberts at VFMF, so if I can do it, you can too!

Who? Half Moon Run, with Luca Fogale
Where? *SECRET LOCATION!
When? Tuesday July 23
Why? This baby is sold out (well, duh) but there is a waitlist you can join so who knows! If you can’t make it to Constellation Festival next weekend to see Half Moon Run, maybe this is your chance!

Why? This Canada Day you’ll be able to see some Starts before the fireworks, as one of the country’s best bands plays a free(!) show at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby. Plus, get there early for Nuela Charles!

Where? Red Truck Brewing
When? Sunday June 30th (not Canada Day)
Why? I know this is supposed to be about music, but the words “Giant Beer Pong” have me so intrigued. Check out locals Humans, and Mat The Alien, IMUR and more at Red Truck on Sunday afternoon!

Where? Canada Place
When? Canada Day!
Why? For me, the best part of Canada Day is all the free music from cool Canadian bands, and it doesn’t get much cooler than Blonde Diamond, who you can see alongside Delhi 2 Dublin, DiRTY RADiO, and more!
