Song of the Day: December 08, 2015 - "My Babe" by Whitehorse
They already put out one of the best albums of the year back in February, but Whitehorse isn't slowing down. They're rolling out a brand new EP one song at a time, with videos filmed in studio, in a project that takes the band deep into the Chess and Checker electric blues of the 1950s.
In fact, the first song is a cover of "My Babe" written by Willie Dixon and made famous by the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame's only harmonica player, Little Walter. The couple brings fire to the gritty blues tune about "a woman that won't stand for her man to cheat".
The EP is called The Northern South Vol. 1, and it'll be out early next year.
